Noel Ta'bois became interested in sundials late in life, but form about 1980, he spent much time, able assisted by his wife Margaret
looking for and recording sundials. He gave lectures, made and
delineated many dials himself, and gave freely of his knowledge to anyone
asking for advanice. He wrote numerous articles including the series for
Clocks magazine from October 1985 to May 1988, many of which, listed below, are reproduced
on "Sundials on the Internet". He died in March 1988 after a long illness.
A collection from Noel's sundial page was presented to members attending
the Annual General Meeting of the British Sundial Society at Grantley Hall,
Yorkshire in April 1995.
